  • Bud WEnzel

    Senior Pastor

    Pastor Bud is a native southern Californian and has been a pastor since 1996. Bud has been recognized as a true shepherd and a passionate leader.  He is a graduate of Liberty University (B.S. Biblical Studies, Masters in Theological Studies and Church History) and has pastored several churches throughout the Northwest and California. As a Gulf War veteran and former Marine, he has also served with Campus Crusade Military Ministry as missionary to U.S. Marines and their families in San Diego.  Bud is a gifted teacher, and his dynamic preaching style sets the pace for fun, exciting, and relevant church life.  Bud is a lover of spy movies, ice cream, and black labs.  He and his wife, Julie, have three beautiful daughters who are all in College.    bud@cpccredding.org

  • Ben Sprague

    Families & Discipleship Pastor

    Pastor Ben joined the staff at CrossPointe in August of 2016. Ben Sprague is a professional Trier. Since 1998 God has used this willingness to try and blessed Ben to be able to create discipleship ministries in places where previously there was none in areas of Youth, Families, and most recently in Bihar India, creating a discipleship ministry that reaches Muslim families. After being born and raised in Redding, CA, Ben graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 2001 and promptly married the Love of his life Nicole. He and Nicole have 3 children and love to serve the Lord as a family. After serving/living in India God brought Ben and his family back to Redding to serve with CPCC trying to make disciples who also make disciples. Someday on his gravestone Ben would like written the words “At Least He Tried.”

  • Joe Beck

    Visitation Pastor

    Pastor Joe began serving on staff at CrossPointe in May of 2003. Joe and his wife, Cheri, have three married daughters and seven grandchildren. Joe attended American River College and Sacramento State University. He previously served for over 18 years as a Stewardship Representative with SIM, a missions organization. Joe regularly visits those in the hospital and serves as the liaison with Sonshiners.  In his spare time Joe chases white balls around a golf course.

  • Ton Saechao

    Mien pastor

    Pastor Ton and his family are delighted that the Lord has called them to serve the Mien at CrossPointe Mien Baptist Church since 2001. Pastor Ton is a graduate of Liberty University (B.A.) and Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary (M.A.R.;M.Div.). He strives to walk worthy of his calling as well as be a godly husband and father. Pastor Ton's desire is to see Mien Christians develop a healthy relationship with God and with their fellow members so that others may see and glorify our Heavenly Father. Pastor Ton's mission is to equip and empower the Mien to do the work of the ministry. The mission of CrossPointe Mien Baptist Church is to know, to love, and to follow God.

  • mike woods

    Team Ministry Director

    Mike Woods joined the CrossPointe staff in August 2016 after a 30-year career in Law Enforcement.  He graduated from the University of San Francisco with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Behavior.  Mike is currently pursuing a Diploma in Ministry/Pastoral Education from SBC's Seminary Extension Program.  He has been a member of CrossPointe Community Church since 2007, and has served in a variety of ministries to include Men's Ministry Leadership, Youth Group Leader, AWANA Leader and the Deacon Ministry.  Mike and his wife Deneen have two children who are both involved in ministry here at CrossPointe.  Mike enjoys the outdoors and his hobbies include fishing, hiking and camping.

  • Jim Wesley

    Director of Operations/Visitation

    Jim Wesley joined the CrossPointe Staff in July of 2016.  Jim grew up in Orange County, CA.  He attended Biola University in La Mirada, CA.  He became an ordained Chaplain in 2010.  In 1984 he and his wife, Diane moved to Auburn, CA where they lived with their two daughters for 32 years.  While living in Auburn he served as the part-time Youth Minister for 20 years while working full-time jobs.  Jim and Diane moved to Redding to be closer to his daughters, sons-in-law, and his three precious grandchildren.  His hobbies include boating, bicycling, golf and most importantly playing with his grandchildren.

  • John Salmon

    Youth Pastor

    John Salmon joined the CrossPointe staff as a youth Intern back in September 2014. Now he is currently serving as full fledged Youth Pastor since graduating from Shasta Bible College. He is originally from Eureka, California. John is married to Sara who has been called alongside him for ministry. He enjoys getting to know new people and being out in the community witnessing.  John’s passion is for youth, and contributing to worship through music.
