Children’s Ministry covers all aspects of teaching and worship for the smallest of the regulars and guests at CrossPointe Community Church - the children. From infant to fifth grade, our programs offer a safe and welcoming environment for kids to worship and learn, all while still being kids.
Children's Ministry Purpose Statement* Partnering with families to reach and teach the children of CrossPointe and Redding in engaging ways so that they have the greatest opportunity to develop as wholehearted followers of Jesus Christ.
Our nursery is a safe place for children to experience God’s love. Our standards of care and hygiene are of the highest quality to ensure the health and safety of your child. It is routine to clean and disinfect the toys and other areas after each use.
We use the Children’s Usher-less Paging System. When you check your child in, you will receive a card with an individual call number. In the event your presence is required, the number is displayed on the Scoreboard (over the piano). Simply leave your seat and check in at the Information Desk in the church foyer. A volunteer will gladly assist you.
For mothers who want to keep their babies with them during worship service, we have a cry room available on the balcony level of the Worship Center. This room includes privacy for nursing, diaper changes and rocking a fussy baby, all while being able to listen to the service below.
Our Preschool Worship Hour is staffed with loving teachers and is designed for your child’s enjoyment. Activities include learning centers, stories, songs, crafts, snacks, and games. Our program helps young ones use their curiosity to discover God’s presence in their world.
Our Elementary Ministry serves children in 1st-5th grades during Sunday morning services on the 2nd floor of the Admin Building, located in the building northwest of the Worship Center building.
Everyone registers in the Family Center/ gym and then moves to the 2nd floor admin building to enjoy singing, games and interactive Bible lessons. ‘Supervisors’ (adult leaders) lead small groups in discussions/activities that help students apply God’s Word.
Our Children’s Worship Hour program, taught by dedicated teachers, are Bible-based times of singing, stories, crafts and Bible memorization. The lessons are designed to help your child learn and grow in God’s Word and apply it to their everyday lives.
On Wednesday nights during the school year we offer the ‘AWANA’ program– a night of building relationships through Bible lessons, games and scripture memory. We meet from 6-8 pm starting in the Family Center (Gym) for ages 3 years to 5th grade.
